The Cambridge World History of Food
December 25, 2007
Food has been around a long time. ;-)
Food has a fascinating history, as well. What we eat we take for granted, but what our forefathers ate was another matter entirely.
But history is not all that today's FamilyFirst pick is all about. In fact, it's more of a trivia quiz that will teach you things that you never knew about food.
It's called The Cambridge World History of Food.
The site uses hidden frames to pop up answers to questions as you mouse over them.
And the questions will hook you. For example, did you ever wonder . . . What town does 90% of all garlic consumed in America come from? Which popular Italian confection contains cyanide? At the very first Thanksgiving what did the pilgrims really eat?
There are a whole slew of fascinatin' factoids. Here. So cruise on in and learn something about food!
