The Children of the Night

Exploitation of children is becoming very commonplace in today's society. There are so many young children working the streets, just driving through Hollywood can be an X-rated experience. Every week 1000 children pour into Hollywood with nowhere to go. Naive and desperate, they are easy prey for pimps and child pornographers. What happens to those children is the focus of today's Family First Site.

Called Children of the Night, it is the online embodiment of a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping young people escape from the ravages of street life. Over 30,000 children call each year to be rescued from pimps, pornographers, drug overdoses, and assaults, which occur on the streets. Since it was founded in 1979, over 10,000 boys and girls have been rescued, with 80% of them staying off the streets and not relying on any criminal activity to survive.
