The Eight of Us

Every successful music group starts out small. Usually, they are garage bands, who graduate to getting local gigs. Then, word gets around, and the next thing you know, they're in the recording business.

A band on their way up is the subject of today's FamilyFirst site. The group calls themselves The Eight of Us. Their specialty is sweet soul music.

The group is based in Tallahassee, Florida. They have actually been around since 1967! So you really can't call them an overnight success. However, they are a legend in the Florida panhandle area.

Take time to download the slide show. It's a poignant look at a group who played in mod matching outfits in the 60's, but who prefer jeans and t-shirts at this later point in life.
