The Movie Sounds Page
April 03, 1997
Every time I turn on my computer, it speaks to me. Not the soft welcome sound of Windows 95, but a real, almost live, human voice. It is Bob Uecker uttering one of the best lines from the film "Major League".
"Juuusssttt a bit outside". (For those of you that have seen the movie, you know the scene.)
The sounds that come from my computer, and others as well, I am sure, are from today's site. It is called The Movie Sounds Page, and is a very nice collection of audio clips from motion pictures, both classic and current. There are moments from "American Graffiti", "Forrest Gump", "Young Frankenstein", the list goes on. Over sixty films to choose from give enough variety for even the pickiest movie fan to find something to like at this site. There are also links to other sites, as well as a collection of sound tools for download.
So if you want to give your computer a voice, or just want to have some variety coming out of your desktop, then check out this site. (And be sure to take a look at "Full Metal Jacket", but only when the kids are asleep.) Enjoy!!
