The Music Man Online

http://www.themusicmanonline.com/Images/Shows/ShowsMain.gif One of my favorite musicals of all time was about a conman, and how he taught a city to believe in their young people. At the same time he fell in love with a librarian named Marian, and the rest is, well, showbiz history. Today's FamSite takes a look at this musical, in all its different incarnations.

The site is called The Music Man Online, and is a wonderful site that celebrates the music, lyrics, and book by Meredith Wilson. This was a hit on the musical stage in 1957, appeared on the big screen in 1962 (with a young Ron Howard in it), and is currently on Broadway again. Here you will find out all the history of the play, the casts, the songs, just about everything. This was such a popular musical that a rock group in the early 1960's featured one of tunes in their stage act. Oh, yes, the group was the Beatles, and the song was "Till There Was You".

So head on over to River City, sit down and rest a spell. This is a wonderful site to visit, but don't forget, You've Got To Know The Territory!! Have a wonder time.
