The North Pole

Here it is, only a couple of weeks before the big event. The tradition of Christmas is celebrated the world round, with a wide variety of events. Today's Family First site is one that not only looks at those varied traditions, as well as other fun holiday happenings.

The site is called Welcome to the North Pole. Here you can explore Christmas around the world where you can learn that in France children leave their shoes by the fireplace on the night before, in hopes of receiving a gift from 'le pere Noel". You can check on the weather from the North Pole, where is can't possibly be any colder than it is in most of the United States at this moment. There are greetings from Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as Rudolph and Glitter the Elf. There are fun and games for entertainment as well.

As the big night gets closer, sites such as this one will help the children in all of us spend some time whiling away the hours. So pull up an easy chair for some high quality web surfing, and warm up the eggnog, it could be a long night.

    I am located here in Sanford NC close to Fort Bragg NC. After 6 months of no work my husband has enlisted in the army. I have 4 kids and was wondering if you could give me some info on signing them up for toys for tots. I would truely appreciate it. Thanks Melissa

    My name is rosemarie velez i'am 29 years of age and have 4 bleesed children crystal of 10, carina of 9,juan of 8 and felix of 4 please put a smile back on my kids , My husband is the only one working and he started a new job and before he was out for 2 weeks and he pays alot of child support a week i'am not working i'am expecting again thanks to god i have a beautiful family that i enjoy looking at day and night a my husband that works really hard to support us in desent way but with lots of love my kids would not mind what they get from santa but would like santa to help my family this year , i know santa have a lot of childen to give a smile to, happy holidays and god bless and multiply all your blessing for all the kids you help. rosemarie velez.1370 county road 436 Lake Panasoffkee ,florida 33538.home # 352-418-3085

    My name is Christina I am a 17 year single parent with two kids a girl name Christalyn that is 2 years old soon to be 3 next month after Thanksgiving and a little boy name Damion he is 1.I have been having a hard year this year. I can't get a job I had to drop out of school to take care of my kids and I don't know how my kids are going to have a Christmas this year cuz I don't have a way to get them anything. Please toys for tots help me and everybodyelse that can. We live in Gadsden, Al.

    Hi,I am a grandmother of 4.My daughters are having it very hard this holiday season..Leslie and her husband are about to loose their house so everything they make has to go to the bills, they have a son 6 and a daughter 2 names are jayden and gemini..my other daughter Amy has two daughters destyne 13 delaney 11..They lost all they had to hurricane katrina amy and her family moved back to mississippi took them a year to finally get a home but it is taking all they have as well..leslie and her family live in Iowa...Both my daughters have been there for me through my divorce and bad relationship and helped me and so i need to do something for them..and right now i am not working due to some health problems that came up so if there is anything anyone can do to help me get them set up for toys for tots i would be very grateful...They are my life and for me to sit here and see that they are hurting is just to much for me to handle..

    hello im writting for my sister. my sister Tosha has 2 girls ( 5.4 ) and she right now is almost 38 weeks pregnant with here 3rd a son. Her boyfriend is not a very great supporter with the whole $ issue he is what we call a "druggy" she wants to get rid of him but she is afraid to be alone i told her that she is not alone if she was to break up with him still .... they have had to ask many people for help during her pregnacy for her boyfriend has a gambling problem please if there is anything that you can do that would be GREATLY returned some how some way... ashley

    My mother is the best mom there is.She have my two brother an my daughter because i can't take care of her right now an all i ask is can you help her out this year for xmas.she can't buy the kids anything for xmas could she is trying to cacht her rent back up so she want have to move out of her house her rent is 1223.00and she have to pay all of this befor xmas my dad is trying to help her but he have abad heart and he don't make the money he was making at first they sset us down an let us know that they can't buy us anything for xmas an my mother start to cry.My mother is a giving person she will give you the cloth of her back an give them to you she will feed if you ask her for something to eat.She have been sick for the last two week. My mother is a housewife.

    I'M a woman that is 29 years of age with 12 children.I have 6boys and 6 girls and they all under the age 12.They are good kids but it is hard times ,I can't keep a job with out a responsable babysitter.The world is mess up so you can't trust many people out there.Any other concern or questionsfeel free to email me.Thank you very much and have a merry christmas.

    Hi,My name is tina I have 2 kids Lorenzo 8 and Jasmine 13 im disabled and on ssi.my kids are very good kids that deserve a good christmas, but I have a hard time fullfilling that for them. I get what I can afford with the little money I have left.     My name is Tammy and live in Pa. I have a 6yr old boy that deserves more. I have reciently lost my job due to a car accident. I receive $200.00 a month in child support when my exhusband decides to pay it. My car was repossed on 11/10/08 and my phone was shut off cause I could not afford the payments on them anymore. I lost my appartment and had to move back to my parents. Between the medical bills and being financially strained, I can not afford anything for Christmas for my son. All he wants for Christmas is trains! Trains, trains and more trains! This situation is not his fault, please help me make it right for him.

    I'm trying to sign a familoy of five, three boys the baby is only one month, I've had no sucess, maybe one present, for children, or a food basket, they haven't had grocerys on three weeks.

    I am s single unemployed student mother who is having a hard time. I have a 12 year old(Justice) and a 10(Adrianna) they mean the world to me and I can't budget the little government assistance I receive to give them a Christmas this year.     My daughter left from my house to seek something she was missing. I have 10 children of hers here and I can't afford to buy Christmas for them. I would like to give the small ones something, anything I've been putting in at other places as not to have an empty Christmas for the little ones. I have 4 school age students and 4 little the other two are 22 and 21. If you can see it possibe to add my children to your list I will be eternally grateful
