The Official PromiseKeeper's Web Site
September 04, 1997
Several years ago, there was a "man's movement" that was popular for awhile. Its purpose was for men to get together, and rediscover the bonding that men have with each other, in a positive sociological setting. I was part of such a group at a private agency where my wife and I had gotten foster children through. Our concept was it was okay for guys to get together and gossip and let off steam about the pressures of everyday life, in a neutral and non-threatening setting.
Today's website is features an organization that is similar in nature but is based on a very solid religious foundation. The Official PromiseKeeper's Web Site describes this group's founding, growth, and future plans, as well as keeping the regular viewers informed of changes and updates in activities. There are many areas to this site, which is also available in Spanish on the web. Some of the areas focus on up coming seminars and conferences, while others give updates on areas that PromiseKeepers are interested in. There is a strong section called Meet Jesus, which describes the break up of man's relationship with God, and how it can be rebuilt through His son Jesus. There is an on-line prayer room where prayers can be offered for those in need, and where prayers can be asked for.
There is so much to see and do on this site. It is a great place to stay and do a little surfing. Check out the online store for some great buys, and enjoy your visit. It isn't often that a site dares to fly in the face of political correctness. The beliefs and philosophy found here are based on the Bible and it's teachings (also known as the Word of God). The words of God do come alive on this site.
