There are three main branches of our government, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. The Executive is the President, the Legislative is Congress, and the Judicial is the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has been in the news the past few weeks, with the resignation of the first female associate justice, Sandra Day O'Conner, and the health of Chief Justice William Rehnquist. The Judicial branch of our government is the Supreme Court of the United States.
