Toys for Tots

Today's Christmas-time Family First site features the site of a program that has been around for over 200 years. Actually the organization that sponsors it has been around that long, not the program. But it is one that everyone has heard of, and is currently being featured in one of the most original and charming Public Service Announcements I have ever seen.

The program is the Toys For Tots programs, and is sponsored by the United States Marines. Yes, I mean THOSE United States Marines. One of our proudest military organizations takes time out every year (and has for the last 56 of them) to ensure that as many children as possible have a happy holiday season. They accomplish this by distributing internationally (in 1999) over 13.1 million toys to over 5.9 million children. It is the goal of this program to deliver a message of hope, which will build self-esteem and in turn motivate needy children, to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

This is a wonderful program that deserves the continued that it receives, and more. So the next time you see a Marine, remember not only is he ready to defend our country at a moments notice, but he is also, in the eyes of a lot of children, Santa. All I can say to that is "Semper Fi".

HELLO, MY NAME IS TARSHA L. MITCHELL AND I AM A 28 YEAR OLD MOTHER OF 5 GIRLS, TEKIYAH (8 mos), TARSHIA (my little angel from above who would have been 4 yrs old), CAITLYN ( 7yrs old), KELWAN ( 9 yrs old),and SHAW'DAE (11 yrs old). MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN IN A FINANCIAL BIND FOR AT LEAST THREE MONTHS NOW, SINCE HE WAS INJURED ON HIS JOB AND UNABLE TO WORK . WE WERE NOT ABLE TO HAVE THE THANKSGIVING DINNER WE USUALLY HAVE EVERY YEAR BUT, I WANTED THE GIRLS TO AT LEAST ENJOY CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR. THEY ARE ALL HONOR ROLL STUDENTS AND THEY ALL DESERVE TO HAVE SMILES ON THEIR FACES ON CHRISTMAS MORNING. I am writing to you asking for any kind of help that I might be able to get.
I was married for 25 years and my now ex through me and our children out.
I feel so bad because my kids use to have a big christmas but this years I can't give them one.
I just had heart surgery and right now I can not go back to school or work.
I get a little check each week for child support, but that goes for my rent.
My children are older they are 18, and 17. Plus I have my granddaughter that will 3 in Jan.
If there is anything thing that you can do to help my family I would appreciate it.

My Name is Ronni , we are stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO we have 2 children whom we are wondering how we sign them up for toys for tots,.. I don't know if i am too late or not i just hope and pray i am not..... We have a son who will be 1 on the 16th of december and a daughter who was just born on the 30th of november.. Could you tell me who to contact to find out this information, We can't even afford a tree this year let alone the toys or clothes that the children need for christmas.. If i am too late do you by any chance know f any organizations that would be able to atleast help with a few articles of clothing possibly even or maybe even just one toy each.. These two children are all that matters to me right now i just hope that I can manage to give them a christmas.... Hope to hear from you soon...

Hi my name is polly and I am a young mother who didn't finsh high school.I have two children a 1yr old and a 6 month old.I know they didn't really have a christmas yet to say that they've had a bad or a good one in the past but christmas was an important holiday to me in my childhood so I wanted to make there's one also.Even Though I try my hardest to be a good mother I am stressed and I know that they can sense that and that affects them too,I think They deserve a great christmas but I just can't afford it this year so if their's any one out there that can help my children then that would be a huge help and a great blessing for me and them it would be a blessing for me to see my kids happy.

I am barelly making enough to pay the bills and my sons schooling fees and supplies that i am unable to give them christmas this year. I work full-time and my husband is a homemaker staying at home to raise our 2 girls Madison - 8, and Samantha - 3. I recently was divorced from my ex wife. I do work to make a living but I pay so much in child support that everything I have left goes toward bills. I love my kids to death and want to provide them with a christmas full of gifts. The problem is I don't know how to get signed up for toys for tots. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Obviously my story is not quite as needy as some others who have posted but if there is a way that I can get a couple gifts for my kids I would be eternally greatful. I just want to see that christmas morning expression every parent loves to see on their childs face.

My husband and myself have 13 children, 6 grown with families of their own (13 beautiful grand children) and 7 remaining in the home ages daughter 13,daughter 12,son 11, son 8, daughter 7, son 5 and a lil' girl of 18 months. We both have always worked to support our family. Our last lil' girl had some struggles, but by the grace of God she is perfect in every way and we have had a hard couple of years playing catch up, about 6 months ago my husbands work came to almost a stand still, which a decision had to be made, he went to New Orleans and worked on homes there for a while, an opportunity to go to OK and Texas to work in the oil field, which will hopefully get everything back on track. Due to him having to go so far,(He needs to stay away for long periods of time) I needed to quit my full time job and currently work with 3 individuals with disabilities. There's a saying , when it rains it pours and with out the Lord I know things would be alot harder, our vicheles have had to have major repairs our wash machine and dryer went out and don't get me wrong I know it could be worse and pray our storm is about over, but I need to find in our area, where we can go for help for some gifts for the kids for Christmas. We know Christmas is not all about gifts, but at the same time it's not that easy for a child to understand. It's very Humbling asking for help, but at the same time I guess everyone needs to be humbled at one time or another. Any information that you could pass on would be greatly appreciated. I am a mother of two boy one 8 and one 11 who will not even have a Christmas tree. My husband and my self took sick early on this year and have been out of work. We are just making it so we have no over for things like a Christmas or toys this year which is devastating for a child of they're age and for two parents who would give the world for them. I have been waking up for the last two month depress that come the 25 of December my two boys will be crushed. My oldest son came to me and ask if he could stay home the first week of school. I asked him why and he responded by saying every year when you return the teacher ask you to write a paper saying what you received for Christmas and if you enjoyed it. He then told me that they make you share this paper with the class. I thought my heart would fall out of my chest and on to the floor. So I have been praying asking god to give him strength alone with the rest that have to go through a very hard ship this year. I have been e-mailing all my information different agencies and faxing also. I have not received any feedback on this matter. I have many families that are in need of help for Christmas as well as myself. These families have no way of finding resources because they don't have a phone or Internet service. Trying to find out how to sign up for this program. Single mother of a 2 and 6 year old with another child on the way in December wont be working and not able to buy anything for Christmas.

We are on a very fixed income she receives Social Security and I am trying to get Disability for an epileptic problem I have had. I would love to get help for my children this Christmas. Hi my name is Sarah and I have two children and its always been hard on us but it seem's like it's alway's harder around christmas time you see my husband is disaibeled he has a seizure disorder, I have a job but it's not even part time I can't work full time because there is no daycare center's around here that will take 1 year olds. My children would really appreciate the toy's because they don't hardly get any 5 year old girl 1 year old boy.

This year I am not able to do for my six kids because I was unabe to work, due to the baby. I have had to tell my two oldest kids that I am un able to do ant thing for them due to money. It seems so hard to be humbling sometimes, when we are in the middle of the storm, yet it humbles me when I hear other wonderful mothers stories similar to mine. I am a 24 year old single mother of 3 wonderful healthy children. I am so blessed to have them in my life. I struggle so hard to take care of them and they are patient and encourgaging. I'm new to this so bare with me. I'm a single mom of two, 5&6 yr old children, i live in kent, OH and is struggling to make ends meet. I dont get help from there father, he works but every since our divorce he feels if im not with him then why should he do anything for the kids. I cry almost every night about things they need, and go to god and ask him on ways to help me get through this alone and still be able to keep my head up! His Grandfather pasted away and He life long friend (dog) pasted away very recently so he is been through a lot for so young. He just moved here not very long ago and my husband has a min wage job. He brings home around 250 a week. The bills are piling up and we just could not have a very good thanksgiving so i would really like him to have a good x-mas. Hi,My name is alina I am a 23 year old mother of two children, 10 months and 3 years old.I was wondering how I could sign up for toys for tots so they can have christmas gifts this year. I am a singel mother. I got to school and work,but my rent just went up an extra $150 a month and, I don't have any money for gifts this year.I am on food stamps and cash aid and still have nothing to give them.I feel like crying when I can't give to them. If someone can please help me find away please. This is my baby girls first chrismas and my son I don't want to make him feel hurt about not getting any thing for christmas.Thank you soooo much.

Hi I am a mother of 6 beautiful children, i just moved to charlotte north carolina 4 months ago, i was having trouble with my landlord not taking care of the house that i paid 1200.00 for so i saw a sign that said bad credit no credit buy a home 500.00 down well i saw an oppurtunity and i took it foolish me becasue i now have a 2,047.00 mortage and all my bills, i cant even afford clothes for my kids in this winter time because we have lived in florida so long we only needed sweatshirts my heat just got turned on from people at work who gave me a crad for thanksgiving, i am never one for charity or help but i am desperate, i cant even have a christmas for my kids becaus ei just lost my job yesterday , over jealous employees, i am a very hard worker i am looking for a job i managed a bar for 12 years and have been in restaraunt management my whole life, i am in need of a job to pay my rent i dont want to be homeless and thats whats gonna happen my kids have gone through so much in there life i have struggle di was married for 12 years and now been divorced for 8 yrs its hard raising 6 kids but i will do whatever i need to do to support them , they are th emost loving heartfelt kids you could meet we give to so many people and now we are in need please someone give me advice on where to go or what to do !! i am desperatly asking for help

It is getting to be close to Christmas and all I can think about is last year when my then 9 yr old didn't get a Christmas. She is a straight A,B student and she loves to read anything she can get her hands on.It hurts inside knowing that without help, this year will be a repeat of last year. I Moved to Florida while pregnant to try and change my life around and found myself in a bigger bind then before. Hi I am Amanda Underwood. I am a single mom of three. My oldest son Zackery is 9 and will be 10 in January. My Bobby is 6 years old. My little Princess Rebecca is going on 2. I am not someone that usually ask for help. But this year I really do need it. My landlord told me I had to find another place because my place was not big enough of all for of us. So I had to move out of state. So by doing that I lost my job. And haven't found nothing yet. It has been 2 months. Christmas is right around the corner. Right now I have no income and trying my best to do what I have to for my kids. I feel so bad that this year they might miss Christmas.
I am usually the person that helps out other families in need. But this year I can't.

I tried to post earlier but got an error report...the problem we are having is that my husband and I are on social security and I am not 65 yet so my medical has ran out for the next 7 months and with that happening and Christmas around the corner I am looking for help. Our daughter and husband and children moved in with us from Michigan 8 weeks ago and he just found a job with a temp service after looking on a daily basis for just about any type work...he will be receiving a check soon but has to pay back child support every week to an x wife for 2 children and other bills which he has been good doing until now ...we always give help each year to people but find help needed this year for the little ones to have a good Christmas ..if anyone knows of any sorce of help I would greatly appreciate it ...as soon as we can we will gladly help another family in need as we have in the past ...Thanks and God Bless You

My mother told me she would take them in and I could see them whenever I want but these are my babies. I gave birth to them so it is my duty as a mother to take care of them. I usually make a way to give them something for christmas but now we have moved out of the projects into a home and the bills take every penny I bring in. I can't stand the thought of them not having a Christmas. They work so hard in school and they don't ask me for much because they know I don't have the money. I can see the looks on their faces when we're in the store . They want to ask for things but they know I can't get it for them. I hate having to tell them maybe oneday or i'll try the best I can. I want to see smiles on their faces. They keep me strong. They keep me going. They are my reasons for living. I want to be able to give them something to show them I appreciate them just being good kids. They deserve the best and i'm trying my best to supply them with it but for the l;ife of me I am struggling so hard that I really need help. i am desparate for help. I was always the one to donate toys, clothes, food, and money to the less fortunate people, well, people that were not having a good run of luck. But, now i find myself in that state now. My husband was in a terrible car accident last year and can only work as a security guard, so our income is only $1200 a month before taxes are taken out. So after paying our mortgage, electric, water and phone besides car insurance we have next to no money left for even a small Christmas. He was hit by a drunk driver. It was a hit and run. They got the license plate and know the car left the bar but the owner of the car wasn't in the car so the drunk driver got away with it. Meanwhile my husband of 19 years can barely walk. He used to paint homes and do just about it any job and were just thankful to have food in our homme.

I was trying to find out where I can get a little christmas assistance, I have heard about the programs but the Salvation army said their apps dead line was in October. I didn't know back then I would need assistance, My husband is in construction and it is so slow that he hasn't been able to get any hours and jobs are hard to find, I work but I make enough to keep rent and bills paid. on the web, so I guess if I can still get on the list that would be great ! as I am still waiting to see if my husband is going to be deployed again or get a medical discharge after 19 and a half years of service. I dont wish for ither for him. but what to do. he gets va compensation for his injury from last deployment but cant make ends meet. My girls are older 17 & 18 so they understand that they may not get anything on Christmas day but as soon as I can they will get something for them. What we are mainly in need of is food for the holidays. We don't qualify for food stamps. The local churches help me every 3 months and the Salvation Army every 6 months. We are very greatful for all they do but it is only 2 bags each visit. I do make enough to pay the bills with very few extras so if anyone knows where else I may turn for help with a little extra food for the holidays I would be very thankful.

Hello I am mother of twin 10 year old boys who was working full time and was barely able to make it and now after Thanksgiving my hours were cut mor then in half .I am having a very hard time making it this Christmas for my boys .My boys are good boys who do good in school and are well behaved .I have been able to provide for them past Christmasas but this year I have nothing to get them anything with .I honestly lay and cry myself to sleep after they both go to bed because as a mother I feel I have failed my boys .I have no one to ask for help .Its just me and them .They deserve to have something under their tree but I dont know what to do .What is a single mom to do to make sure that her kids have a decnt Christmas ? Hello,I am a single mother of 3 wonderful boys Michael 15, Desmond 13, and Jared 12. we as many other families are having a difficult time this year. I am a single mother of 5 in texas and have been searching for help for a while now , salvation army cut off date was in oct. and toys for tots is not accepting anymore children as they dont have enough toys as it is. I have contacted united way and they are still taking apps. although its not guaranteed and they normally only take kids up to age 12.
My kids ages are 12,10,5,3,2, although my son turns 13 on Dec. 7th so he doesnt qualify but they took his info. because there are companies that come at the last moment and pick up toys , also maybe check with red cross they might know.I have been searching for something and if I happen to find anything new I will repost on here and please do the same for me .

My manager fired me because we both share the same interest and that is the love of a woman. I didn't realise that the reason the man was so nice to me was cause he had a crush on me. So, he started treating me very badly trying to get me to quit. When that didn't work he fired me.My partner Carmen was doing the best that she could to support us until she suffered a mild heart attack. So,that forced her to quit. We couldn't afford to have money taken out of her pay checks for health insurance so she can't go seek help for the mild heart attacks that she gets at least twice a month. All we can do is have her keep taking baby asperin.I finnally found a job but every last dollar I get is to save for a the money we need for rent.I'm hoping that I can get help to give my partner and our three kids a great christmas. We share 3 beautiful kids Nathan 8 yrs.old Layla 3yrs.old and Breanna 15yrs.old all three are having a really hard time coping with "mamas'" illness. She is the one who is all ways the back bone of our little family. I was diagnosed with MS Margh of 2007 and I try to do the best that I can on taking care of our happy but stressed little family.I hope that I can get the help this christmas to give gifts to all four of my heart and souls. I don't want any gifts just the smile on all 4 of there faces is all the gifts that I want this year

I am a single mother of two wonderful children 7 and 11! the really are great children they get straight a's in school, they hepl me around the house and they have huge hearts, however as much as i would like to reward them for all they are to me, the most important thing is to keep a roof over there heads and i am just barley doing that!! I finally got a new job in nov. ( after being let go in march)
it has taken every dollar ive made since then to catch up our trailer payments so we have a place to live!!
my children wont get a tree this year since all our decorations are locked in our storage unit( over due) but we have talked of making a paper tree just to celebrate!!!
my boys are not expecting anything, i told them i would make it up to them later, and they understand, thats how unselfish and great they are!!! but i would love for them to have something!!! i am not expecting anything from this memo but it does feel good to get this off my chest instead of holding the pain in!! the most i can hope for is a prayer that they will still be happy on christmas morning!!!

It is my sons first Christmas & I wanted it to be memorable. But I have no family to help no siblings I am alone. i am trying to keep positive but I feel so horraBLE he has no gifts. Hi. My friend JUST had a baby girl two days ago and she was not expecting her until AFTER Christmas. She has nothing at all for the baby and does not have the money to get her anything on such a short notice.

She also has a nephew who is three years old. His mom is working at a minimum paying job, while trying to find a job in her degree. She does not get that much at all from the father as far as finances are concerned.

If you will, please contact me as soon as possible to let me know if it is too late to give these two children a decent Christmas. I know that the two mothers will be VERY greatful to know that there are some wonderful people out there that still care for others.

I am a single mother and I have a beautiful little girl by the name of Mia. A year ago I left my Husband who abused me and my daughter. We left California and came back home with out his knowledge, after staying in a battered and abused women's shelter. This was the best thing I could have ever done. After being in an abusive relationship with someone who used Drugs (crack) and hit me daily and stole everything (including Mia's diapers) for eight years, any situation is better then that situation. Everyday is a struggle I work full-time and I attend school full-time at a community college (unable to receive Financial Aid due to the fact that I had to drop classes to work a second job's to pay bills because my husband would steal all of the money and use it for Crack). I am looking for help in paying my tuition and Christmas gifts for Mia. At this point anything will help I have been applying for part time jobs all over town no one is hiring.

My husband has been disabled for the past 5 years and I lost my job this past April and have not been able to find work since. My husband's oldest daughter was incarcerated the beginning of August and we have her two children to raise for the next six years. We already had his 19 yr old daughter and her newborn baby plus my 17 yr old daughter living with us at the time. Like most people these days, we were already having it very rough before we got the other two grandchildren to raise. How do I sign them up for toys for tots? The oldest grandchild is a 5 yr old girl, the other is a 17 month old boy, and the newborn grandbaby already living with us is now a 5 month old girl. For many years, I donated toys through work for toys for tots but never even thought to ask just how the operation worked. Never thought that someday I may be the one needing help.

I was only nine years old when I was shot with a .22 cal. handgun. The bullet entered my neck and damaged my spinal cord. This event left me using an electric wheelchair to experience life. Every day presents challenges for me, and my wife and children are always glad to help. I have some special needs, though, which make having a regular job difficult. My financial contribution to our family is a Supplemental Security check that isn't even enough to cover our rent.
Michelle's child support is small and it helps, but still isn't enough. We also share expenses with my mother who has been with us since we moved in here. Mom was struck by a car in 1996, leaving her with a traumatic brain injury. She no longer works, and receives a monthly Social Security check. She cannot make it on her own since Dad passed, and she has the love and support she needs here with us. Together, splitting the bills, though things are very tight, we have been able to get by.
Michelle wants to work in a factory through a temp agency to give the children a Christmas, but the damage done by carpal tunnel syndrome causes her extreme hand pain. She has had surgery on both hands since our wedding, but the nerve damage is permanent. I fear she will cause greater harm if she tries to use her hands to work. And, with all she does for me and Mom, we really need her here.
We had hoped throughout the year for a beautiful Christmas together, but after planning our finances, we find that we cannot afford it. We have love, but the children won't have the joy of opening gifts. We are hurting this holiday season. My wife and I try our best on a fixed income, and we have gone without for the sake of our children. I write to you hoping to find help for Christmas from the kindness of strangers.

Iam a mom with a disability. I have 3 beautiful children and 2 of them have a disability (autism and Ataxic hypotonic Cerebral palsy). We have alot of medical bills...we do not qualify for medicade. My kids do not have nice clothes they could use a few good outfits. When we go to church it is imbarrasing because we do not have clothes to dress them up in. hello my name is gina & ill tell you a lil bit about my self i am a new mom of a beautiful lil girl who just turned 1 in sept . we a curretly i call it homeless we were staying with her grandmom until she just passed away fromn a long stuggle with cancer as sson as she passed away her kids decided to sell her house asap & wich left my daughter & i with no were to stay i have applied for housing & iam on there list but because we stay with someone we are not consider homeless we have to either go to a shelter or be living on the streets . b4 i had my daughter i was homeless living in & out of shelters my mom dad were both addict to drugs and passed away so that left me at a younge age to care for my self wich i did for many year i always had 2 jobs and helped out at the local shelters i worked with other drug addicts in detoxs so i was very fimalar with all of this stuff well to make to brief & to me living in shelters being homeless i had lost my older sister and i just lost it my self my life turned around in a terriable way i started using drugs i ened up homless for 4 yrs and my life was just unmangable . 1 day i was just sick & tried of being sick & tired so i went to that detox were i worked & asked them for help they helped me when i couldnt help my self they taught me how to relive they told me my life will get back to were it use to be if i stay away from drugs so i listen to them and veryday it got easier i got out of the detox they told me to go to further treatment i did for 2 yrs then i got my job back life was good i met a great man we decided to have my daughter well i had to leave that job cause of me being pregant it was a good idea working in a homeless shelter pregant ... so we moved in with my daughters grand mom and helped her out we helped eachother . welll since this time she has passed and we are currently living in a camper thank goodness it has heat its just not insalated but its a roof over our heads .. & im grateful to have a camper i guess hey some ppl have it worse . im writing you to ask if there was anything you can do for my daughter to help out she has very lil clothes no winter jacket i shop at thrift stores . to get my clothes or yard sales but i try to at least get her newer clothes if i can we are not asking for much but anything will help out like i said im sure there are more children who have nt got a camper to stay in i just want her to be warm & just a few toys to open on x mas morning if you could please help us out it would be great thank you and god bless you & your family please get back to me thank you gina miricalss@yahoo.com or i can be reached at 857-350-5629- i dont really check the pc a lot cuz i come to the libary to use it so if i dont get right back to you i will as soon as i get your message thanks

I recently went through a big domestic violence issue and had to run away with her and am staying on base at fort campbell with a friend and her husband until I can get on my feet. Hello my name is Harold Lee Hackler III I'm 39 single paraplegic dad of 3 wonderful kids.I was paralized from a single car wreck in Sep 6th 2002.I broke my neck at C-1, but not all the way through to kill me.I crushed my spinal chrord from T-2 to T-5 ruptured my spleen, and broke every rib on both sides of my body.On my left side a rib bone went through my lung on my right side my lung collapsed from me laying in the median strip till they found me.When I got to the hospital they told my family I was going to die there was no way Id ever make it off the table I had already bleed out 4 units of blood!!THANK GOD I LIVED!!!!Mar 29th 2004 my wife went to work and called me later that day said she was never coming home again she was tired taking care me and 3 children.She met this guy just got out prison he was a drug dealer she new him 2 weeks and moved in with him.So i filed for custody imediately i love my children i could never live without them, and i won full sole & legal custody of all 3 my children.Then the welfare tells me they didnt feel like i could take care of them like a normal parent could so they gave me 3 choices for me to find a female companion which i wasnt ready for yet or move in with family or they remove them from my home.I love my kids i didnt want to lose them i just won custody so i moved in with my family.
Its been almost 4 years now since she last seen them or talked to them she just up and quit coming to visit.So we 1st lived with my Gmaw but it got to much for her to do so we then moved in with my mother and step dad but hes a dieing drunk and has had stokes and a heart attack so his mind isnt always there he started abuseing my kids would hit them in there lil heads with rake handle when they didnt do something like he asked.So i got them out of there fast when i found out and we now live with my uncle Rick my mothers brother.
So as you can see its been real hard on me and the children we have been bounced around from family to family.I have Austin hes 10 and over weight, Brittany shes 9, and then lil Daniel hes 7 and there sweet kids i just cant afford to get them the things they want and need! I LAY IN MY HOSPITAL BED ALL TIME AND CRY BECAUSE ALL I WANT TO DO IS MAKE THEM HAPPY THEY DESERVE IT ITS NOT THERE FAULT THERE MOMMY WALKED OUT AND DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM HOW DO YOU TELL THEM YOU CANT GIVE THEM XMAS SANTA CLAUSE ISNT COMING HOW HOW DO YOU DO IT I LOVE THEM WITH MY LIFE!!!! All the income i get a month is $452.50 a month from SS & SSI a month they said because i worked so many tax free jobs thats all was in my SS acct to give me a month my kids cant even get a SS check because of this.and food stamps all we get is $231.00 and child support all i can get is $142.00 a month and thats for all 3 kids thats less than $50.00 a kid its crazy my kids are growing out of there clothes i cant even afford to buy cheap or 2nd hand clothes right now my son Austin hes 10 and he is right big he is wearing clothes thats a lil to small and hes all time telling me that his clothes are cutting him in places and the same thing with my lil girl Brittany shes 9 and shes telling me same thing but i dont have any money left over by the time i pay what lil bills i do have and all my medical co-pays, and extra food after i run out food stamps my son austin eats alot im broke!
And when xmas comes its been so hard to provide presents.My uncle gets paid $8.00 a hour 42 hours a week to take care of personal things i need done thats all the money he has coming in.so he pays all the main bills and his bills then hes broke he helps me and Gmaw helps me when they can but here it is xmas again and i dont have not even 1 present i have exactly $103.42 to try and buy 3 children xmas stuff unless i go to dollar store im not going to be able to get anything!!!!!
SO IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP ME OR POINT ME TO PLACES THAT CAN PLEASE HELP ME GIVE MY BABIES A GOOD XMAS I CANT AND DONT WANT TO SEE THEM CRY ON XMAS DAY THAT WOULD RIP MY HEART OUT ID RATHER DIE THEN TO SEE MY BABIES GET HURT IN ANY WAY I CANT HELP IM A PARAPLEGIC FATHER THAT LOVES MY 3 CHILDREN THEY ARE THE ONLY REASON IM WILLING TO KEEP LIVING IN THIS CONDITION TO SEE THEM SMILE HEAR THEM SAY GOODMORNING DADDY I LOVE YOU DADDY THAT FEELS SO GOOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! I JUST WANT TO GIVE THEM A GOOD XMAS GET THEM SOME CLOTHES THEY CAN WEAR AND SOME TOYS THEY HAVE BEEN WANTING AND ASKING FOR I KEEP TELLING THEM DADDY WILL TRY AND DADDY WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO. BUT I KNOW I CANT GET THE STUFF BUT I CANT TELL THEM THAT AND BREAK THERE LIL HEARTS! I JUST WANT TO GIVE THEM A GOOD XMAS AND KEEP THEM BELIEVING IN SANTA FOR AS LONG AS I CAN!!!!!

Yes, I am a single mother of a 13yrs girl and am having a vary hard time making a living in port charlotte where i recently moved. and she has been wanting a bike to ride to school on and i just can't afford anything again this year for christmas, as last year we weren't doing good since her so called dad left us high and dry and it's been hard since i am in sales and can't seem to get out of it or make any money cuz no one wants to buy anything these days. I hate the fact again this year I can't buy her anything again and even having trouble getting help for food now and i dont' know of any chruchs here that you can go in line and get free food, like in Lakeland there are several it's totally embarrassing to do but no money and not even sure gonna have a place over our head, i just wanna know if there is any help for us here in this small town of Port charlotte FL? I am pretty sure she is too old for toys for tots but not even sure where to go or call for that, I would volunteer my time if I could get her something for christmas this year, as I was active in Lakeland for the all children's hosptial, but it just seems like nothing is here, god they don't even have public transportation it's nice here but like I said i don't know the area, moved here cuz had no place of my own and no where to go until somoeone said you can come move in with me and pay rent well thats even hard to do. Hi! I'm the proud mother of a 5 yr. old little boy. I am also pregnant so by the time Santa comes we will have a little girl also. We are in desperate need of some help this year. My little boy was a twin and I had them at 5 mo. so I ended up losing one of my babies. As a result of this I am a high risk pregnancy therefore unable to work. I have muscular sclerosis & the doctor said my husband needs to stay home to take care of me & my children. He has also had medical problems, glass shelves fell off of a top shelf in the garage & severred all of the nerves & tendons in his right wrist he lost the use of his hand. Then last year he was avoiding hitting a deer & didn't realize he was 10' up in the air & stepped out of the truck to come down & break 2 bones & shatter the knee. He has been seeing the doctor for 1 year now without any improvement. I receive cash assistance & food stamps but the cash is only enough to pay rent. I asked for help through the my worker but got told with receiving cash I don't qualify for x-mas help. I would really love to give my kids a good christmas they are such good kids. THE DOCTOR SAID MY HUSBAND NEEDS TO STAY HOME TO TAKE CARE OF ME & MY KIDS, WHICH MEANS HE CANNOT WORK. WE DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY TO BUY GIFTS FOR MY KIDS. How come you hear about these toy drives but have no info about signing up so that your child wont feel as though hes bad because he gets nothing from Santa? Its bad enough that we need to ask for help, but having no help on asking for help, sure sucks. I hope all you single Moms out there trying to make things right for the kids, have some help and hopefully healthy Christmas, because I can say that this stress is killing me, not knowing how i will provide a tree let alone presents.. I am a mother of two wonderful kids. my son is 4 years old and my daughter is one. Me and my boyfriend are both in school and we don't have a study income right now because we are both in school full time 5 days a week. Please, let me know how I would sign up a family. They are in deep need. The dad is unemployed and the mother of 4 little boys is trying her hardest to make meals stretch. Hi my name is Amanda Im a 19 year old single mother of a 19month old son and I have one on the way. I was wondering if its to late to sign up for toys for tots in st cloud, mn? I recently got fired because i got put on a weight restiction due to my high risk pregnancy. So I have no money and I had to move in with my parents..I feel like everything that I accomplished went down the drain and now I just want to be able to have a christmas with presents under the tree for my son!
