Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts Home Page

vme_logo.jpgI work with a couple of serious motorcycle enthusiasts who always have magazines and books with pics of really old bikes. That got me to thinking, “why not find a good antique bike site and feature it?”

Well, failing to come up with a valid reason for not doing so, here it is! Today's FamilyFirst site is Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts Home Page. Located in Washington, here's their mission statement: “The VME is the Northwest's premiere vintage motorcycle collector and enthusiast's club. Founded in 1982, the club is dedicated towards the promoting of motorcycle safety and awareness, as well as the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of classic motorcycles from the past and present.”

These guys are serious about their antique bikes. They have a show every year called the Isle of Vashon Rally. There are some seriously cool old bike pictures from past shows!

Also, check out their gallery of old bikes. They have 37 bikes featured, from Ace to Yamaha. Check out Ask the Doctor, too. Enthusiasts have written in with their old bike questions, and the Doctor has answered them. He seems to know his stuff.

You can download desktop wallpaper, too. There are old bikes for sale in their Classifieds. There's a great Links page, too, for those of you who just can't get enough motorcycles on the web.

So have fun at today's FamilyFirst site. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to sit back and relive some memories about my 1968 Honda CL125 I had many years ago . . .
