Web Novice: The "How-To" Webzine

Web Novice: The

I have been trying to put together a web page for my church, and it has been an eye opening experience. First deciding what program to use. Then how to design it. Do I want clip art, photos, or rendered 3-D graphics? There were so many ways to do it, and they all seemed right. But I recently discovered today's Family Site, and it is becoming a lot easier.

The site is named Web Novice: The 'How-To' Webzine. It is a collection of articles, columns, web sites, tricks-and-tips, everything you would find in an on-the-shelf magazine. Only this one is on the Internet. Articles in the current edition are timely and necessary for any current websurfer, whatever experience level they are at. They include "Surfin' at Warp Speed" (about 56Kbps modems), "A Neophyte's Guide to Effective E-mail" (making your e-mail more meaningful), and "Undocumented HTML Tips" (tricks of the trade revealed). There are regular columns featuring links to editors' choice websites, classified ads with items wanted and for sale, past and current articles, and sponsor information. The magazine is revised/printed monthly, so there will be plenty of time to explore the Webzine in depth.

Sites like this are very helpful in educating us amateur and inexperienced web-master wannabes. The information, if accurate, can help make a long night of programming shorter, and give that certain webpage that certain look. This is site well worth checking out.
