Western University of Health Sciences

Today's FamilyFirst site is the result of casual web surfing by yours truly.
It's been a kickback day, and I thought I would end it by selecting tomorrow's site with no preconceived notions whatsoever.
My relaxed web browsing led me to the site of Western University in Pomona, California. I spent some years in SoCal when I was younger, so my interest was piqued.
Western University is a medical school (officially known as Western University of Health Sciences). Here's their mission:
Founded in 1977, Western University of Health Sciences is a nonprofit, graduate university for the health professions located next to Southern California's historic downtown Pomona. With five colleges and 1,500 students studying towards advanced degrees in osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, graduate nursing, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, health professions education and veterinary medicine, Western University is one of the largest graduate schools for the health professions in California.
I was fascinated to learn that you could learn veterinary science here as well as medical. Veterinary science is considered by many to be more difficult to master than its human equivalent, due in large part to the fact that your patients can't tell you what's wrong!
The school has a curriculum catalog online available for browsing. You can also apply online for acceptance.
Our society needs more medical specialists, caring for both human and animal needs. It's good to see progressive schools like Western University with an effective, attractive online presence.
