What People Eat Around the World

A recently published book called Hungry Planet has people talking about what we eat and how much we spend on it.

Everybody, no matter where they live, has to eat. And what we eat and what we spend on it varies as much as the makeup of the human race itself.

Today's FamilyFirst pick is a blog posting featuring photos of what families from around the world eat each week, and what it costs them.

There are many eye-opening facts you will glean from this post. One is how truly spoiled we who live in industrialized nations are. Another is how much food costs when you but it preprocessed. A kitchen strewn with bags of chips and such is a much more expensive proposition than one layed out with fruits, vegetables, and the like.

Another thing I gathered is that Italians have one of the most inexpensive and most appealing diets in the world.

I wish I was Italian. ;-)

So read, and learn.
