WorldAtlas.com's The List

It's a sad fact that geography is largely unknown by the average populace.

I was an avid stamp collector growing up, and when I obtained a stamp from another country, I promptly looked it up and checked it off of my Scott's album map in the front. Thus, I was able to learn the locations of many far-flung nations.

But many people can't find countries like Canada, Mexico, or Australia on a map. That's very, very sad.

But today's FamilyFirst pick is a fun little page filled with all sorts of fascinating geographical trivia in one place.

And the factoids take the appealing form of lists.

For instance, what is the most densely populated country in the world? Would you believe Monaco, with a density two and a half times that of crowded Singapore?

Ort how about the least densely populated? Try Mongolia, with two people per square mile.

There are many, many more lists here. So spend a little time and learn something!
